Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Inuit Program Coordinator, the Inuit Employment & Training Officer is responsible for liaising between Inuit employees, the company, and Inuit organizations, as well as facilitating the integration of Inuit workers within Canadian Royalties. The responsibilities are as follows:
- Facilitate Ensure the success of recruitment and training programs for Inuit Beneficiaries, while contributing to the development of Northern communities.
- Support the human resources department in labor relations involving Inuit employees and help resolve any issues that may arise within a multicultural workforce.
- Provide advice and support to the company on matters related to the implementation of the IBA, Inuit employee work, and intercultural relations.
- Organize and deliver certain training sessions for both Inuit and non-Inuit employees.
- Handle various administrative tasks related to the recruitment, training, and labor relations of Inuit employees.
- Manage Inuit communications on FM radio, in written media, and within local communities.
- Show initiative and creativity in new situations, with the ability to manage daily tasks without bias towards kinship or friendships.
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.
