Description:
BlockTech is a high-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global decentralised trading in cryptocurrency derivatives while expanding to regulated markets.
We are growing like never before and we are looking for a Risk Analyst who wants to join us in this exciting scale-up phase!
Responsibilities:
As a Risk Analyst, you will take ownership of both market risk and operational risk at BlockTech in a broad sense. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review of inadequate trades and system behaviours: Analyse issues - what went wrong, why, and what system changes are needed
- Risk reporting: Identify risks that could impact BlockTech’s business processes and communicate risk and performance data to relevant stakeholders
- Review exchange documentation and provide insights to the technical team from a risk perspective
- Manage risk-related projects, such as connecting with new exchanges. Critically follow the development and improve products and processes on both sides
- Integration for regulated markets: Oversee risk-related aspects of our integration with third parties to enter regulated markets
- Analyze complex business problems and propose solutions or enhancements
- Updates and process improvement: Provide clear, timely updates on planning and delivery. Monitor and manage continuous process improvements, addressing outstanding issues
- Ad hoc requests: Respond to and follow up on ad hoc requests from the trading and engineering teams
In addition to managing market and operational risks, you will also work on understanding automated trading risks, measuring regulatory capital requirements, and modelling exchange margin requirements. This role requires collaboration across teams and provides a great opportunity to understand different aspects of the business.
