Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This newly created role within the Corporate Services Transformation and GRC team will report to the General Manager - Governance, Risk and Transformation - Corporate Services and will be responsible for embedding and managing the enterprise corporate risk management framework, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
The Risk Analyst will work closely with all business units and functions to identify, assess, monitor, and report on key risks and controls, as well as providing advice and guidance on risk mitigation strategies and best practices and in the evaluation and improvement of the organisation’s risk controls, systems, and processes, and the promotion of a risk-aware culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the implementation, and maintain the enterprise corporate risk management framework, methodology, and tools, in alignment with the corporate strategy and objectives
  • Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with business units and functions, and coordinate the update of the risk registers, risk profiles, and risk treatment plans
  • Co-ordinate and participate in risk reviews and audits to ensure compliance with the enterprise corporate risk management framework, as well as relevant policies, standards, and regulations
  • Provide advice and guidance to business units and functions on risk management principles, practices, and processes, and working with internal Training and Development teams to support the development and delivery of risk awareness and training programs
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the enterprise corporate risk management framework, methodology, and tools, and keep abreast of emerging risks and trends in the industry and the market

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Ideally, you will bring demonstrated knowledge and understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools, as well as relevant policies, standards, and regulations and hold a strong track record in effective engagement with senior business stakeholders and robust commercial acumen.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in risk management, internal audit, or a similar role, preferably in a large and complex organisation
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or a certification in risk management, such as CRISC, PRM, or FRM, is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and prioritize risks and controls, and provide practical and effective solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk information to various audiences and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as risk management software
