As a Risk Analyst with the Alternative Projects Expertise Center (APEX) team in Pomerleau, you will be responsible for being the main data management support to optimize risk analysis and management. Working on our large-scale projects - ranging from $1.5 million to $1 billion - you will be responsible for managing the risk database, supporting the team with projection analyses, and facilitating the interface with risk-related IT systems.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set up customized reports via risk tools or other technology, reflecting risk profile KPIs by project or division, and for Gating reviews (internal process).
  • Support the analysis of Monte Carlo model outputs from risk analyses and produce validation results for internal or external parties.
  • Maintain, control, and review risk data meticulously by designing programs, documentation, and systems to the required standards.
  • Be a master at compiling data from various databases and using advanced Excel functions to provide the data analysis and management required for unit reviews.
  • Support the development of scripts on work tools to build and reflect project-specific scenarios and risk simulations.
  • Participate in the implementation of any API connections between the risk tools and the platforms of other external systems, such as integrations of risk data with Power BI, SalesForce, or others.
  • Intervene and support the planning and estimating team on data sharing for cost and lead time risk analysis activities, as well as cost and activity item uncertainties.
  • Consolidate weather data and maintain lessons learned on weather risks by location, as well as market economic analyses.

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • At least 10 years’ significant experience in a data analysis or similar role.
  • Excellent budgeting, forecasting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • You can identify trends based on database analysis, to optimize procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of several computer systems, including PowerBI and Salesforce.
  • You are bilingual in both official languages (French and English).

Additional assets:

  • Diploma or certificates in the analytical field.
  • Knowledge of risk management, artificial intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Ability to create scripts to imagine scenarios based on risk factors.
