Aon is looking for a Risk & Compliance Business Partner to join our team in London. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for all Risk & Compliance affairs for Aon Reinsurance Solutions UK. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both in our London office and remotely from home.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS

• Proven Compliance experience within the General Insurance Intermediary. Ideally with direct experience from a Wholesale and /or (Re)Insurance Intermediary.
• Deep expertise in the application of Sanctions regimes within insurance and reinsurance landscape.
• Knowledge & awareness of international regulations and its applicability to (re)insurance intermediaries.
• Dynamic and proactive, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role
• Confidence and credibility to face off to the organisation’s most senior management and directors.
• Ability to analyse rules and guidance and assess their impact on different business areas.
• Knowledge of regulatory issues facing Aon and, specifically, the business area supported.
• Able to demonstrate commercial awareness, business acumen and strategic planning.
• Ability to influence decision making in view of a business area’s financial priorities and market conditions.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to encourage action in a diplomatic fashion.

• Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for all Risk & Compliance matters for the allocated Business Area, while developing enduring relationships with key stakeholders.
• Provision of sanctions applicability advise to the business area.
• Provide risk & compliance advice, oversight and challenge on issues and risks, including development of new products, business and/or operating models and functional processes.
• Support in the timely preparation and delivery of required reporting to the various relevant governance committees across Aon.
• Step in for the Relationship Manager, when required, to represent Risk & Compliance in Business and key Governance Committees (e.g., Risk Committee and/or Executive Committee).
• Assist senior leaders, as required, with any FCA and/or other regulatory body interactions.
• Carry out periodic risk assessments for allocated Business Area(s), in line with the wider Enterprise Risk Management framework.
• Liaise with other risk and compliance areas and act as the ‘bridge’ between these and the business to ensure the business has access to the right second line resource.
• Build enduring relationship with key business stakeholders and help promote a risk & compliance aware culture.
• Maintain awareness of key regulatory changes and support the impacted areas through design and implementation.
• Support and contribute to the Business Partner Team strategy and wider Risk & Compliance initiatives.
