Description:

Are you looking for a career that makes a difference? Look no further than Severn Trent Water! Our award-winning, innovative company is home to over 8,500 dedicated team members who are passionate about making a positive impact on the world. We offer a diverse range of roles and development opportunities, so there’s something for everyone here. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your career to the next level, we have the resources and support you need to succeed.
When people think of Severn Trent, they immediately think of water and waste – and that’s only natural – it’s our bread and butter after all… but you might not realise we have a thriving Fleet team who currently repair and maintain a fleet of over 2,900 vehicles! From company cars to water tankers, we ensure that Severn Trent can safely transport equipment, valuable resources and our teams around safely and efficiently from A to B, day in day out.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In this brand new role, you’ll ensure that our Fleet Operations Team achieve and maintain compliance against all regulatory and legal requirements.
You’ll have overall responsibility for Severn Trent’s O License, making sure that the company operates within the licence guidance, and that all changes to the current licence are managed and delivered promptly.
As our Risk and Compliance Manager, you’ll maintain and develop effective transport compliance policies and procedures and work with our third party partners to ensure they are compliant too.
With 3 direct reports working for you, you’ll also provide leadership and direction to our Fleet Compliance Team.
You’ll be based in our Coventry headquarters, Monday - Friday but will be expected to travel across the Severn Trent region to complete audits. We’ll support you with travel by providing either a car allowance or company car.

Responsibilities:

A BACKGROUND IN COMPLIANCE AND REGULATION WOULD BE A GREAT FOUNDATION FOR THIS ROLE.

If you’ve worked in transport management or are a Transport CPC holder, that would be super beneficial but not essential.
The right candidate embraces change but is a stickler for rules and holding people to account.
As a leader, you want to inspire, motivate and challenge your team to be better.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
