POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and maintain a robust governance framework for incident and obligations management.
• Provide risk management leadership, expertise, and advice for major change initiatives.
• Lead a team of 4-6 risk and compliance professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high performance.
• Oversee divisional incident management activities, from investigation to remediation, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage and report on internal risk controls, detection, and response capabilities.
• Engage with key stakeholders to provide advice on A&G’s risk and compliance programs.
• Contribute to the preparation of management reporting packs and Board papers.
• Act as a subject matter expert in risk and compliance, providing education and guidance across the department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of coaching and mentoring teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of compliance standards, legislative requirements, and industry codes.
• Experience in risk management and compliance within the insurance industry.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or certifications in risk, compliance, or related fields are highly regarded.

As the Senior Manager for Growth Ops Risk & Compliance, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining a best-practice 1st Line risk and compliance model across various teams within Growth Ops. This is a newly created position where you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape and grow your own team of up to 4 direct reports, driving the development of a strong risk culture and ensuring that we meet our internal and external compliance obligations. You will also have the chance to work closely with the Growth Ops leadership team, contributing to the overall delivery of A&G’s risk management strategy.
