Responsibilities:
INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPETENCY AND THE ROLE
Risk can come from every angle – upside, downside and outside – and it can be hard to see, anticipate and respond to effectively. Our Risk Consulting team works with a broad range of client organisations to look at, and respond to, risk with fresh thinking.
Within Risk Consulting, our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) team plays a pivotal role in helping our clients to safeguard their interests by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers. Utilising technology, EY’s TPRM teams help our clients to make better-informed decisions faster about third parties. We examine risk from every angle and provide our clients with the insights they need to identify the partners that will create better long-term value for their business.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to enhance our TPRM capability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing and mitigating risks associated with third-party vendors, including financial, operational, compliance, and reputational risks. This experience will be derived from leading and operating TPRM functions in industry, or from providing TPRM transformative solutions to organisations within a professional services environment.
INTERNAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertake engagement management activities, such as resourcing for projects, managing engagement financial performance, and performing engagement quality and risk management activities.
- Build valued relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in generating new business opportunities for EY.
- Lead and support presentations and proposals for elements of medium to high complex projects to prospective and existing clients.
- Communicate effectively with EY senior management and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams.
- Manage and mentor a team of TPRM professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Understand EY’s TPRM and wider service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve our clients, including the adoption of technology advances such as AI.
- Build strong internal relationships within Consulting and across other Services Lines.
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRISC, CTPRP) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in risk management, with a focus on third-party risk, vendor management, or related areas.
- Proven track record of leading TPRM programmes in or with complex, global organisations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to third-party risk management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with TPRM tools and platforms, as well as proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
