Description:

Fluor is seeking candidates for the I-35 Northeast Expansion (NEX) South project in San Antonio, TX.
Fluor’s scope includes the design and construction of approximately four miles of elevated lanes, three in each direction, and associated interchanges at either end of the project.
The I-35 NEX South Project will add additional capacity to one of the most congested corridors in the state, which handles more than 140,000 vehicles per day.

This entry level position adheres to and supports the Objective & Responsibilities of the Risk & Insurance Management Department. This role performs insurance related support activities and assumes responsibility for maintenance of certain insurance program administrative functions, coordination of ongoing informational needs and daily inquiries on Risk & Insurance related issues.

  • Provide detailed support for all corporate property & casualty insurance operations
  • Perform certain related support and administrative functions in various risk & insurance areas of responsibility which could include insurance placement, financial administration related to insurance and surety, insured claim management, etc. as further set forth in individual job responsibilities
  • Interface with internal operations and other corporate functions in the execution of responsibilities and has direct contact with outside resources
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no required years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years if non-degreed

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in business or finance preferred, or equivalent business experience
  • Basic interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic leadership and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge in the use of personal computer based business applications
