Description:

Overview:
We are a global company with a strong footprint within the United Kingdom Business Processing outsourcing market (BPO). Due to our business expanding there is a need to appoint a Risk Lead to support our business leaders.
Reporting to the UK, Africa & Ireland Risk Assurance Manager. The Risk Lead will provide effective 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) oversight throughout all Lines of Business across multiple sites within our operation, however this role in based within our Gateshead site. The Risk Lead will support in embedding the Enterprise Risk Management framework and provide ongoing continued support to ensure all risks and issues are captured, monitored and effective Risk mitigation treatment plans and controls are in place. The Risk Lead will occasionally deputize for the Risk Assurance Manager.

SKILLS:

  • Be able to evidence a risk-based approach/mindset.
  • Minimum of 2 years risk experience.
  • Excellent English written and oral skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships whilst ensuring the integrity of the 2 LoD is not compromised.
  • Audit/Compliance Monitoring or Assurance experience.
  • Analytical skills
  • Adaptable to fast paced changing environments.

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • IRM qualification.
  • Financial Crime experience.
  • Business Continuity experience.
  • Incident Management experience

Responsibilities:

  • The Risk Lead will Identify, assess, control, track, and report on all risks and issues.
  • Help business leaders develop and implement key process controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • The Risk Lead would support, educate, and guide the business on all elements of risk.
  • Produce MI for governance.
  • Ensure all risks and issues are captured in the corporate risk register.
  • Assist with incident management.
  • Undertake key controls testing and audits.
  • Provide support to the Security Tand Privacy teams.
  • Attend client review meetings.
  • Participate in external and internal audits.
