Description:

700Apps is seeking a dedicated Risk Management Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will assess and manage risks associated with our software development projects, ensuring that potential threats are minimized and opportunities are maximized. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective risk management strategies tailored to our operational needs.

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for software projects to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and practices that align with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with software project managers and development teams to ensure that risk considerations are integrated into project planning, design, and execution.
  • Provide expert guidance and actionable recommendations on risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and training sessions to enhance organizational risk awareness and capabilities among technical and non-technical staff.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management efforts, providing updates and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing business continuity plans and crisis management strategies specifically tailored for software operations.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices related to risk management in the software sector.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • +3 years of experience in risk management within the software industry, including experience with software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 31000).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to software development (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience in conducting risk workshops and training sessions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar) are a plus.
