Description:
As the Risk Management Coordinator, you will work in collaboration with various department leads to execute risk management activities, monitoring, and mitigating organizational risks. The Risk Management Coordinator is also responsible for the oversight and direct supervision of the administrative function within Corporate Services.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Canadian Risk Management designation.
EXPERIENCE:
- Requirement for 5 to 8 years of related experience.
SKILLS:
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Organization and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft Office 365
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Customer-service focused and able to effectively communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Support the overall risk management, monitoring and mitigation strategies for CPSA, including:
- Develop, execute, and maintain a risk management policy, framework, and processes utilizing industry best practices to identify, assess, manage and report on operational risk.
- Collaborate on and support departments with risk mitigation plans and strategies.
- Deliver accurate, relevant and timely reporting of risk to the Senior Leadership Team; and collaborate with them to update Risk Registers and FMRAC Risk Assessment Checklists.
- Undertake specifically identified investigations/research and provide expertise and recommendations on risk management issues.
- Identify and manage criteria for key risk indicators, changes to legislation and standards, develop and maintain a database of internal audit recommendations, actions and risk close outs.
- Review and oversee the annual insurance renewal process.
- Promote awareness and education of risk management policies, procedures, and strategies while supporting the development and management of the Business Continuity Program and continuity of operations activities across CPSA.
- Oversee office security incident reporting to Security Management Committee and Integrated Risk Management Committee as required, liaise with building landlord, and develop office policies and procedures related to onsite premises security.
- Management & Team Development:
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management when necessary to administrative team members.
- Recruitment, development and retention of administrative team members.
- Conduct team members annual performance evaluations.
- Assist with the contract management practices and procedures across CPSA:
- Draft contracts, monitor contract compliance and adherence, performance and key indicators, manage escalation processes, price adjustments and streamline contract lifecycle processes.
- Draft and maintain industry-aligned policies, procedures, and templates for contract management.
- Provide expertise, education and support to internal stakeholders on contract management and risk opportunities.
- Foster collaborative relationships with third parties and internal departments through meaningful engagement.
- Provide office administration oversite, including budgeting and forecasting for administrative expenses. Reviewing and approving expenditures.
- Support the business planning process for the organization.
