Description:

Join Allianz Partners as a Risk Manager for the travel line of business, where you’ll take on a global role driving risk management excellence for one of our key business lines. You’ll play a critical part as the single point of contact for Risk topics across the organization in ensuring compliance with our global risk framework and industry regulations, while actively collaborating with leaders across the global organization identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Your expertise will help strengthen internal controls and safeguard areas like financial reporting, IT, legal, compliance, and operations.
This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to Allianz Partners’ Global Risk Centers of Competence, with the potential to lead local and global initiatives based on your experience. Work across the business with multi-cultural teams and drive global best practices. Be a key player in finding impactful solutions.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule out of our Cambridge, Ontario office and reports directly to the Senior Risk Manager for Travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate and lead Risk management topics for Travel LoB, including global topics.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the Travel business and liaise closely with management.
  • Provide risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives.
  • Support the management, monitoring and reporting global business operations risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments to determine impacts of risk issues and facilitate appropriate escalation and implementation of the decisions.
  • Provide feedback to inquiries relating to risk monitoring actions.
  • Support and provide advice during decision-making processes.
  • Monitor news around market and evaluate current and potential risk exposure.
  • Identify changing regulations and industry risk trends that may have an enterprise-wide impact.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk management activities.
  • Lead and present topics in the Travel Risk Committee and other meetings as required.
  • Facilitate the Risk management process and provision of Risk management delivery support (this includes among others, the Top Risk Assessment, and Internal Control Framework)
  • Coordinate the effective implementation and maintaining of a network of Risk and Internal Control coordinators as well as the provision of risk training to the wider business. Promote a positive Risk Culture within the business.
