REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years of risk management experience with a reputable multinational company, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Good understanding of operational risk, capital markets, trading markets, FX asset classes, and liquidity provision activities.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment with minimal direction and guidance, essential to be a self starter.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a global team across three continents.
  • Fluency in English is essential, French would be beneficial.
  • Luxembourg based.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the country licensing application processes by delivering completed risk management policies and procedures. Support responses to regulator questions and requests for information.
  • Familiar with local risk and regulatory framework/requirements as set forth by the CSSF for EMIs.
  • Responsible for the business’s overall risk management framework and will be the key Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any matters related to risk operations.
  • Direct and lead risk assessments, RCSAs, local business continuity policies, and procedures, incident management, registers, and work with Operations to develop SOPs as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all risk management policies and manuals as needed, and notifying the business of any regulatory changes.
  • Act as a central point of contact for all information on risk-related issues.
  • Assist in all risk management and regulatory matters with local and international regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare regular reports and provide strategic direction to senior management regarding risk management matters. Monitor local KPIs and KRIs on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with in-house and external advisors to monitor and implement responses to regulatory developments that impact the business.
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders representing various parts of the business and control functions on special risk management projects as necessary.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by senior management and the Board of Directors.
