Description:
OPPORTUNITY
Kohler is seeking a lead professional responsible for auditing and assessing the physical security of our facilities. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting the sites in developing, implementing and maintaining standardized security policies, protocols and procedures. This critical role will be accountable for maintaining and driving adherence to our C-TPAT program by working cross functionally with manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, international trade, and other functions to ensure a secure supply chain.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 3-5 years relevant leadership experience.
- Experience with C-TPAT program is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in supervision and project management.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office
- The ability to solve problems, especially during stressful situations, in a timely manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including public speaking
- Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects.
- Ability to work in and supervise a team environment, including 3rd party and remote teams
- Occasional Travel required to Kohler sites, expect 20-25% depending on need and budget

Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and implementation of standardized physical security standards, operational policies and procedures enterprise-wide based on-site functionality (manufacturing, lodging, warehouse, office, store or other business), geographical location and security threat level.
- Assessing and mitigating risk issues using and managing a comprehensive security auditing program
- Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)
- Expand reporting mechanism to routinely report on benefits of Program and corrective action recommendations as well as track status and progress at each facility
- Responsible for overall physical security processes and procedures at all facilities outside the Kohler, Wisconsin area
- Maintain and enforce written C-TPAT procedures and work with various business functions to implement Customs security strategy
- Conduct C-TPAT Supply Chain risk assessment process and maintain to keep current with changing requirements.
- Provide defect and root cause analysis on C-TPAT processes and develop recommendations for enhancements to systems and procedures to maintain compliance
- Oversee 3rd party security services (including budget and contracts) to ensure a level of performance meets expectations and provide consistency of service at all Kohler Co. facilities
- Support Global Security initiative programs and the required actions to implement the programs at each site.
- Be familiar with ancillary systems that support Global Security.
- Ensure facilities can facilitate a rapid response to emergency situations by having a current Emergency Action Plans and are adhering to scheduled training and exercises.
- Participate and/or support investigations of criminal, civil or policy violations as necessary on a global basis.
- Model Kohler Co. and Global Security core competencies and objectives in the performance of all job duties.
- Prepare comprehensive and confidential security reports for Senior Executives and other Kohler associates.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the security manager and be able to effectively perform their functions in their absence.
- Ability to communicate effectively at a supervisory level both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. Providing clear, candid and timely performance feedback, including disciplinary feedback.
