JOB SUMMARY:

As a Risk Strategic Analytics Associate within the Home Lending Strategic Analytics team, you will be responsible for supporting risk functions. Your role will involve monitoring trends within reports and performing analytics, utilizing your knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting policy and guidelines, as well as pricing or operational changes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, ideally in banking or financial service industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data and programming using at least 1 of the following tools; MySQL, Alteryx, Tableau, SAS, Teradata, Oracle
  • MS - Office Excel skills is a must
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Experiences with reporting tools in Tableau and MS PowerPoint (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge in Home Lending LOB/functions (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Support risk functions under Home Lending Strategic Analytics.
  • Extract data from Toad for Oracle, Teradata, and perform transformation and analysis of underlying trend and drivers using advanced Statistical Analysis System (SAS) techniques.
  • Utilize the data to create visual and meaningful risk and regulatory reports using MS Office and Tableau to help risk stakeholders assess effectiveness of policies, guidelines, and pricing
  • Maintain and launch the reports on a recurring basis, examining logic for alignment between multiple, dynamic data sources and business report requirements
  • Create and analyze tables and graphs for ad hoc reports relating but not limited to current economic events
  • Automate manual steps of report generation using appropriate tools
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all risk and regulatory reports
  • Monitor trends within the reports and perform analytics with knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting policy and guidelines, pricing or operational changes
  • Be able to identify the underlying trend drivers and collaborate with the team members to provide meaningful commentary to risk stakeholders
