REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition “Compact State” obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
- Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
- Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate patient’s condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
- Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
- Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

- Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provides age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties as assigned.
