JOB DESCRIPTION

Right at Home is urgently seeking an experienced, highly skilled Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team casually for clinical trial & ERT infusion visits in the Nova Scotia area. The ideal candidate must drive and have IV initiation and blood draw experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure vital signs (blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate)
  • Collect, label, process, and package biologic specimens for shipment to the central laboratory
  • Administration of 12-lead ECG
  • Facilitating investigational medicinal product (IMP) accountability
  • Completing urine pregnancy tests and urine drug tests
  • Assess and record changes in signs or symptoms, as reported by the patient
  • Conduct study drug review
  • Complete visit documentation

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification/First Aid Training (required)
  • 2-step TB test (required)
  • VSS/Criminal Record Check (required)
  • Nursing license and registered in good standing with the NSCN (required)

COVID-19 considerations:
All nurses are to wear a mask while with a client. Personal protective equipment is provided. All nurses are to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations and provide proof of vaccination
