Description:
Are you a skilled and enthusiastic automotive mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents while providing exceptional service to motorists in need? RAC WA, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Roadside Patrol Mechanic to join our Southern and North Perth dynamic team.
The position:
Operating on a flexible rotating shift roster between the hours of 6:00am and 11.30pm from Monday to Sunday, the main duties are:
- Respond to roadside assistance events, providing on-the-spot mechanical repairs and assistance to RAC members.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle breakdowns and mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
- Utilize your technical expertise to perform minor repairs and adjustments, including battery replacements, tyre changes, and jump-starts.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring members’ safety and satisfaction during stressful situations.
- Coordinate and liaise with additional resources when required, such as towing services or other specialized assistance.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of services provided, adhering to RAC’s procedures and guidelines.
In this role you will be required to start your day from a designated location.
What are we looking for?
You will have:
- Experience as an automotive mechanic, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models
- Relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanics or similar field.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with members and colleagues
- Qualified Automotive Technician
- Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence for Light vehicle repairs is mandatory.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A customer-centric mindset and a passion for assisting others during challenging situations.
