RAC WA, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Roadside Patrol Mechanic to join our Southern and North Perth dynamic team.
The position:

Operating on a flexible rotating shift roster between the hours of 6:00am and 11.30pm from Monday to Sunday, the main duties are:

• Respond to roadside assistance events, providing on-the-spot mechanical repairs and assistance to RAC members.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle breakdowns and mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
• Utilize your technical expertise to perform minor repairs and adjustments, including battery replacements, tyre changes, and jump-starts.
• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring members’ safety and satisfaction during stressful situations.
• Coordinate and liaise with additional resources when required, such as towing services or other specialized assistance.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of services provided, adhering to RAC’s procedures and guidelines.

In this role you will be required to start your day from a designated location.
What are we looking for?

You will have:

• Experience as an automotive mechanic, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models
• Relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanics or similar field.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with members and colleagues
• Qualified Automotive Technician
• Motor Vehicle Repairers Licence for Light vehicle repairs is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• A customer-centric mindset and a passion for assisting others during challenging situations.
