DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for various support tasks, including running and analyzing financial and operational reports, as well as handling accounting functions such as requisitioning, invoicing, and cash advance activities for Venango County Maintenance District. You will need to have a good understanding of accounting principles and be able to perform technical, analytical, and administrative tasks to support accounts payable and receivable processes.
Additionally, you will prepare financial reports within the business warehouse system, analyze fund balances and expenditures, and assist with budget analysis and expenditure tracking. You will also be involved in collecting roadway data, conducting field surveys to identify malfunctions, and submitting route summaries to management for planning purposes. Furthermore, you will assist with creating, tracking, and completing highway notifications and work orders, as well as verifying payroll data to ensure accuracy.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year of experience as a Technical Assistant; or
  • One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
  • An Associate’s Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver’s License.
