Description:
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, collect, compile and analyse characterization data of the rock mass;
- Use and/or develop geomechanical analysis tools and numerical modelling in conjunction with the data collected to evaluate structure stability and optimize the design of underground and surface works;
- Participate in underground and open pit excavation design projects;
- Conduct analyses of excavation support systems and pit walls stability;
- Support divisions and project managers in matters related to the rock mechanics field;
- Work with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate, as required, design activities with external engineering firms;
- Write technical reports;
- Travel to Agnico Eagle’s sites to provide relevant technical support and produce visit reports;
- Stay informed about technical improvements in your area and share your knowledge with your colleagues from technical services and mining operations;
- Perform any other related duties as requested by your supervisor
