Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, collect, compile and analyse characterization data of the rock mass;
  • Use and/or develop geomechanical analysis tools and numerical modelling in conjunction with the data collected to evaluate structure stability and optimize the design of underground and surface works;
  • Participate in underground and open pit excavation design projects;
  • Conduct analyses of excavation support systems and pit walls stability;
  • Support divisions and project managers in matters related to the rock mechanics field;
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate, as required, design activities with external engineering firms;
  • Write technical reports;
  • Travel to Agnico Eagle’s sites to provide relevant technical support and produce visit reports;
  • Stay informed about technical improvements in your area and share your knowledge with your colleagues from technical services and mining operations;
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by your supervisor
