MŌ MĀTOU | ABOUT US

The Te Tari Tohutohu Tāke (Tax Counsel Office) at Inland Revenue is responsible for giving tax technical advice, specifically about the interpretation and application of taxation law. We supply a range of related advice and services to both internal and external customers. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Although we are largely based in Wellington, our people also work from a variety of offices around the country, so location is not an obstacle to joining our team.
At Te Tari Tāke Inland Revenue we’re passionate about Aotearoa New Zealand being a great place to live and work. We’re making it simpler for everyone to pay tax that pays for things like health care, education and protecting the environment.
We’re committed to building an inclusive workplace free from inequalities, where all our people are valued, respected and feel supported to reach their full potential.

  • Qualifications:
  • A law degree and eligibility to hold a practising certificate is needed for a Rōia Tāke (Tax Counsel) role.
