Description:
Cocotte Bistro is a refined yet casual take on an authentic French bistro, with a distinctly National Capital lens featuring Executive Chef Brett Arden’s classic yet contemporary approach to French bistro cuisine. Cocotte Bistro will also bet on bubbles by the glass, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, social hour specials and sharing items prepared and served en cocotte.
The Room Service Attendant is an integral part of the hospitality team, providing invaluable support to guests through delivering full meal service from the kitchen into guest rooms. The Room Service Attendant will also collect payment and return trays, used items from the rooms/hallway back to the dish area for cleaning. This position will also be responsible for all minibar operations and will inventory, requisition, delivery and refill all items offered to guests in the rooms daily. The Room Service Attendant will also support bistro operations by running food and offering support to servers, baristas and bartenders to enhance guest service in any way.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Taking orders and delivering room service meals/items into guest rooms
- All minibar inventory and restocking operations
- Running items from the kitchen to guests in the dining room, bar, lounge or café
- Filling water glasses, delivering bread, desserts and beverages as required
- Clearing empty plates and glassware during service
- Assisting the servers, bartenders and baristas in any way that benefits the guest
- Setting up and organizing your workstation and other areas of responsibility throughout your shift
- Delivering room service orders to hotel guests, responding to questions, securing payment
- Returning room service carts, dirty plates and glassware to stewarding area
- Practice a very high level of communication and teamwork with peers and management
- Provide genuine hospitality by engaging with guests throughout their entire experience, maintaining a positive personality throughout
- Assisting guests and responding to their needs; ensuring you help the guest in either directing them to the restroom, getting their server, or other requests
- Assist other staff members and management with other duties, tasks, and cleaning responsibilities
- Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the company dress code; maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
- Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in speaking English and French, an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate with strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality
- Possess a strong work ethic with a desire to achieve team goals
- Ability to prioritize and manage your time during high volume and busy times
- Being physically able to move quickly, bend, and reach throughout your shift; able to stand and walk for long periods of time 8+ hours
- A passion for hospitality, foodservice and helping create the best possible guest experience
