EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:
- May work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities
- Wear and use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment
- Review work order to determine job specifications
- Provide emergency response when required
- Perform general labouring duties
- Participate in emergency response planning
- Operate, maintain and repair deck equipment
- Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
- Move, sort and pile materials and products
- Monitor safety area
- Load and unload vessels
- Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards
- Hazardous products handling and storage
- Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes
- Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
