We are currently seeking a dedicated and organised Roster Clerk to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, with an initial commitment of 2 days per week and the potential for increased hours. This role is work-from-home (remote), offering flexibility while playing a key role in ensuring optimal service delivery within our allied health and virtual care programs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to organise information across different systems
  • Strong negotiation skills, including listening, identifying outcomes, and maintaining relationships
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in a volume-processing environment
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, gather and analyse information, and make informed decisions
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • A team player with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Adequate home connectivity for work-related mobile technology
  • Strong commitment to quality client service and McLean Care’s core values

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of rostering protocols and award entitlements
  • Awareness of Work Health and Safety, Duty of Care, and Client and Staff rights
  • Demonstrated experience with industry-specific software applications
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an office environment, preferably in data entry
  • Previous experience in rostering or workforce planning is highly desirable

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Knowledge of the community care industry is a plus

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Roster Clerk will contribute to the efficient deployment of resources across the organisation by providing vital rostering services and supporting operations to ensure high-quality service delivery to clients. This position will be integral in managing staff scheduling and adapting to client needs, with a primary focus on allied health and virtual care services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate rosters and staff replacement, in consultation with relevant managers and care coordinators
  • Act on day-to-day changes to client rosters based on client requests, ensuring Care Coordinators are informed of any issues affecting service provision
  • Ensure any challenges impacting service delivery are reported to the relevant managers in a timely manner
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, recognition, and mutual respect within the team
  • Monitor staffing allocations against rosters to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgeted hours and award requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy legislation in all matters related to client information
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of services by participating in service development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff
