JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
As Rotating Components Manufacturing Engineer you will define projects with moderate up to high complexity. You will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree with a relevant work experience
  • Previous experience in production/manufacturing domain
  • Proven analytical and organizational abilities
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the definition and control production process, including tooling and equipment
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools or equipment
  • Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and contributes to technological developments in the team
  • Work together with people from the business unit
  • Execute routine as well as complex analysis
  • Develop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), document process changes, drive process/fixture improvements, drive lead and cycle time improvements, cost of Quality (COQ) and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) actions
  • Participate in LEAN initiatives and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements
