An opportunity to become a member of the diverse team of people who provide Engineering support to the UK Upstream operated business (SOV). Aberdeen is in a unique position to offer a long-term wide range of opportunities and experience with 2 onshore plants, 3 offshore assets, 2 new offshore assets (1 FPSO and 1 offshore platform) to be delivered in 2024 and 2025 and Future New Energies projects.
The expansion of the UK asset base allows the successful applicant to be exposed to a wide variety of experience and opportunities to develop and gain experience to support future progression. Within the current role and team, you will be directly supporting an asset in an engineering context; working day to day while also supporting at a strategic level to drive reliability and availability, identify, scope and lead upgrades/rerates, assuring brownfield projects and supporting CO2 abatement modifications. The discipline network in the UK is highly connected across Operated, Projects and large new energies, allowing networking , development and shared learning.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Key responsibilities include
  • All aspect of Rotating Equipment Discipline oversite and assurance
  • Proven understanding of UK HSE environment eg. Safety Case or COMAH or other industry equivalent.
  • Understanding of Equipment Performance Standards and the associated assurance.
  • Maintenance Reference Planning (MRP) & Delivery
  • Accountable for assurance of discipline activities per asset Plan
  • Annually update the MRP for the business planning cycle
  • Create annual budget for discipline activities in line with the facility business plan
  • Review ongoing facility spend, intervene as required and support business drivers to reduce cost and increase uptime for disciplined owned equipment
  • Approve Rotating Equipment expenditure in SAP via cost uploads and service entries

Responsibilities:

  • Employ adaptive thinking to provide technical solutions to the Operated Facilities with complex systems to provide best technical and economically robust solutions
  • Responsible for daily surveillance and Autonomous Care taking appropriate actions using available tools.
  • Responsible of TAR and Outages scoping on rotating equipment and support assurance of Facility team execute scope
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving equipment repair / spares procurement quotes & ensuring quality and be cost efficient
  • Responsible for start-up requirements and review of Pre-Commissioning procedures for new and existing equipment
  • Acting in a Technical Assurance or Discipline Leading role to internal Project or EPC designing, executing modifications and brownfield projects.
  • Responsible for Rotating Equipment facility maintenance strategies
  • Assure a plan is in place to maximise equipment availability
  • Maintain bad actor list and assure of execution of any correctives in a 365-day window
  • 5 whys and RCA owner for rotating equipment
  • Responsible for the facility Rotating Equipment critical spares strategy and stocking
