Koch Fertilizer, LLC is now hiring a self-driven Rotating Equipment/Special Projects Technician for our Terminals Organization.

This is a remote, flexible day shift position. It may include extended hours and will include over-night travel throughout the Midwest at times. Travel may include 50%+ of the time to other Terminal and Plant locations.

WHO YOU ARE (BASIC QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Certification/Associates Degree (Maintenance, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Electrical, etc.) or higher

OR

  • Rotating equipment experience within an industrial/military environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to be medically approved to participate in the respiratory protection and HAZWOPER programs
  • Ability to wear a gas mask type respirator while performing the physical job duties as outlined
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders to work at heights of 25-100 ft while wearing a full-face mask type respirator and full Level A Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform physical job requirements in various types of weather

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and operate ammonia refrigeration, storage, loading/unloading systems
  • Provide project support scheduling and planning
  • Provide rotating equipment mechanical support
  • Support commissioning/decommissioning of ammonia cryo-storage tanks and ammonia bullets
  • Work with full life cycle of ammonia processes including refrigeration, gas fired heating, instrumentation, pumps, compressors, motors, and loading/unloading product
  • Operate through safe work practices while storing and moving products by following environmental standards to ensure continuous compliance
