Route Driver

Located in Eastern Ontario, Dundas Agri Systems is a trusted supplier and installer of dairy farm equipment and related components. We are currently recruiting for a Route Truck Driver to join our team.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pack and load products onto truck according to company specifications
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver product ensuring gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes are in proper working condition
• Deliver and place dairy consumables and chemicals into customer dairies as needed on a regular schedule
• Review products with customer to ensure understanding of product use and value; act as an additional point of contact between customers and service department relaying important information
• Replace milking liners in customers’ dairies as need
• Assess what products will be needed in the following 6 weeks to ensure the customer has the supplies needed to run their dairy
• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer and complete required paperwork for billing purposes
• Complete logs and reports as required
• Prep and replace product as needed in the route truck following proper inventory tracking protocol.
• Other duties as necessary

Skills Required:

• Valid Class G license and clean driver’s abstract
• Proven experience in operating a 5-ton truck
• Knowledge of dairy farming and livestock equipment is an asset
• Forklift experience is considered an asset
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative
• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service; friendly and willing to serve/help
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
