Job Title: Royalty Income and Revenue Summer Student ~ RQ 24-58 ~

We are searching for an eager Royalty Income and Revenue Summer Student. You will work with the Production & Revenue Accounting team and you will report to the Supervisor, Production and Revenue Accounting. You will assist and support the preparation of financial reports to ensure accurate and timely accounting of income.
This is a summer student position based out of Calgary. This position is full time from May – August 2025

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and book cash receipts for Royalty Income assets
  • Review royalty payments and book in Excel or Energylink
  • Review and process LCNs. (Land Change Notices)
  • Review Stale Date Report and update Royalty Owner Accounts
  • Book Revenue Cash Receipts before close 1.
  • Manage the Purchaser Statements and follow up as required- during month end.
  • Ensure all Revenue and Royalty Entries are booked and posted by close 1.
  • Royalty Offset Booking – after close 1.
  • Print Statements and mail out cheques and EFTs as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • You will have completed your 2nd year in a Business or Commerce Degree program (preferably with an accounting or finance major) and will be returning to school in Fall 2025.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and develop their skills
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Your prior experience in oil and gas is an asset
