    We are in the business of helping people, and as an RTO Compliance Officer, you will be part of the Access Skills Training (AST) team that provides commercial Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Auspicing Services and courses (Certificate I to Certificate III) to more than 70 secondary schools and 2000 students across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland.
    This position is responsible for the quality and compliance requirements of each service area of Access Skills Training.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership and under the direction, where appropriate, with Manager RTO
  • Communicate and implement any changes to regulatory requirements with other staff members.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and/ or oversee internal audits, including reviewing student assessments, trainer/ assessors’ resources, evidence of participation, etc.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and/or oversee validation sessions.
  • Review the trainer qualification register/ matrix - to ensure that all trainers and assessors hold and maintain currency in relevant qualifications and units of competency.
  • Regular review of AST’s scope of registration.
  • Submit any required applications to ASQA via ASQAnet (including submissions for change of scope, change of details and renewal applications).
  • Access SVTS portal daily and provide contract notifications to relevant parties.
  • Breakdown and communicate information obtained from the SVTS portal contract notifications to relevant parties.
  • Submit required ASOA data reports, including Annual Quality Indicator Reporting data; Assist in completing the Annual Declaration on Compliance.
  • Conduct and/or review regular internal RTO audits for the Victorian VET Funding Contract and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
  • Develop, review and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
  • Template documents for events such as course reviews, audits and assessment validation; Pre-enrolment documentation (specifically the regulatory information).
  • Maintain and implement continuous improvement.
  • Maintain version control of documents.
