Description:

The Team & Focus of the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate up to Associate Partner to come and join our expanding team within our Property Management & Consultancy division, helping to deliver our Corporate Real Estate, non-operational Property Management offering.
You will be working on national and regional portfolio’s for a number of our corporate clients, across a range of different sectors including water, aggregates, energy and development. You will also be involved in growing newer clients, advising them on expanding portfolios, and the opportunities and challenges that arise.
This role will suit you if you’re driven, love to nurture and develop relationships with clients and have a background in either Commercial/ Rural Surveying or General Practice Surveying, as you will be advising on a wide range of both General Practice matters such as Landlord & Tenant, Purchase & Sale, Valuation and Compensation work.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours), based from our office in Exeter and out on site. We operate a hybrid working policy and are happy to discuss flexible working options.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the delivery of Corporate Real Estate within our Property Management & Consultancy Division, working on portfolios for several large corporate clients, across

the water, aggregates, energy and development sectors with national portfolio’s across the UK.

  • Growing newer clients, advising on the expanding portfolios, and opportunities and challenges.
  • Lease Advisory work including new lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews of agricultural, commercial and residential properties, with a large number of unusual properties too, from caves to undersea cables.
  • Rural Consultancy advice to corporate and private clients.
  • Advising on General Practice matters including Landlord & Tenant, Purchase & Sale, Valuation and Compensation work.
  • Advising clients on how to manage their portfolios in such a way that supports their core business, whilst maximising the value of their assets. Owing to the nature of the portfolios and the opportunities and challenges they present, work will involve working with a range of specialists from within our business and also external consultants, ensuring that the needs of the client are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff, including preparation for APC and CAAV examinations and career progression.
  • Providing a high-quality service to our clients

The successful candidate will have…

  • MRICS or Assoc RICS qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels
  • Able to positively manage existing Client and Tenant relationships
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of property compliance
  • Ability to identify how wider market factors may influence clients
  • Desire to develop into a technical expert`
  • Commercially minded and results driven
