Description:
Are you looking for a role that will challenge you? Our Licensed Nuclear Facilities Branch is looking for a FMC Metallurgy Technologist!
Responsibilities:
- Using master-slave manipulators, operate in-cell equipment including hand tools, power tools, measurement devices and process equipment.
- Perform radioactive material flask handling and transfer operations and perform routine maintenance on on-site transfer flasks.
- Perform all operations of Hot Cells within the limits imposed by the Facility Authorization, and as defined in other operations documentation.
- Assist in providing technical support for maintenance of all hot cell systems.
- To be responsible for the safe, proper and efficient operation of all in-cell and out-of-cell PIE equipment.
- To be familiar with the appropriate methods and precautions required for the handling of radioactive materials.
- To carry out or assist in the design, construction, repair, testing, evaluation, and operational development of specialized PIE equipment.
- To be cross trained in several processes competently.
- To prepare records, procedures, memoranda, and reports using Personal Computers [PC’s].
- To perform other related duties appropriate to the assigned level.
- Carrying out other operation duties as required.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
