We’re recruiting for a Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) Manager to deliver significant enhancements to our internal CMDB alongside leading the continual evolvement of the SACM function and all associated processes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A SACM MANAGER

• Undertake all aspects of line management for the technical resources within the SACM team, ensuring their development and mentoring needs are met.
• Create, implement, and continually improve the Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
• Perform reviews and audits to align the configuration states with documented baselines. Before introducing a change or release, verify the configuration information against specified requirements. Discover unregistered CI’s during this audit phase and apply necessary controls before including verified CI’s.
• Remit to dictate how digital services are to be modelled within the CMDB and how data is structured providing a trusted repository to all stakeholders.
• Consult with the Platform Services Manager to establish and maintain team / product roadmaps, contributing towards the planning and utilisation of resources in accordance with business need.
• As appropriate, contribute towards the running of the platform by ensuring best practice and suitable governance processes are implemented and functional. Assist with the recruitment process where appropriate.
• Engage with key business stakeholders to understand need and manage expectations.
• Build relationships with process owners providing efficient communication and establishing SACM processes.
• Define and enforce governance processes around SACM policies and procedures.
• Build internal and external relationships to achieve the SACM strategy and vision within the company.
• Be a point of escalation to internal and external stakeholders for any areas of concern relating to the CMDB and SACM function.
  Base Location: Reading - Hybrid
  Working Pattern: 36 Hours

• Experience in people management
• Excellent understanding of SACM and CMDB Management
• Stakeholder management
• Experience with ServiceNow, specifically CMDB, CSDM and Discovery
• Experience of Cloud technologies
• Previous experience within the utility industry is desirable
• Knowledge of integration and architecture concepts
