Description:

Windsor Forest College Group is looking for A Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join the Strodes team on a term-time, full-time basis.

SAFEGUARDING AND WELLBEING OFFICER

Working on a Term Time Plus (42 weeks per year) Full Time Basis, the role of the safeguarding and wellbeing officer in the Sixth Form includes providing support to the college community in safeguarding cases, working with external agencies, and attending meetings on behalf of the college. They also collaborate with safeguarding leaders to promote student wellbeing and a positive mindset, contribute to the administration of behaviour management procedures, and assist in implementing an effective wellbeing strategy for staff and students.
Specific duties and responsibilities of the safeguarding and wellbeing officer include making referrals, managing a caseload of students with a variety of support requirements, and taking on the role of designated safeguarding officer on a rota basis. They also represent the college at external multiagency meetings and provide front-line wellbeing support for students. The officer is responsible for collecting data and reporting on safeguarding, wellbeing, and student participation, as well as maintaining clear communication and consistency of approach with other safeguarding teams.
The safeguarding and wellbeing officer is part of the Student Services team and assists with general enquiries, supports incidents and emergencies, and contributes to the smooth running of the college campuses. They also play a role in organizing cross-college events, special projects for students, and maintaining positive links with community and third sector providers. Furthermore, they help oversee student social spaces, promote positive student behaviour, and participate in college activities such as open evenings and student interviewing and enrolment arrangements.
