Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for supporting the deployment, implementation and monitoring of the EHS & Human Performance program. They will provide Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental oversight in a construction and industrial environment at nuclear client sites and Framatome Canada office/warehouse facilities.
  • Employee will be a member of the EHS and Human Performance Department reporting to the EHS, Human Performance, Training & Facilities Manager.
  • Support project specific conventional safety and environmental management plans and procedures including inspections, audits, observation and coaching.
  • Be the Facilities Master Protection Coordinator and assist with emergency preparedness activities and security initiatives
  • Ensure accidents/incidents/ errors are investigated in a timely/valued manner by providing leadership with investigation and analysis.
  • Provide field oversight minimum of 50% of time attending Pre and Post Jobs, Formal Observations, Safety Meetings and Coaching in the moment.
  • Track and report safety and human performance program related statistics.
  • Assist in development of Job Safety Analysis, High Risk Evolution Planning, Critical Lift Plans, ALARA Plans and other plans as required and audit same in the field.
  • Assist in supporting the Joint Health & Safety Commitee. Agenda, Meeting minutes & Action Tracking
  • Ensure workplace hazards are identified and effective mitigation strategies are developed and implemented using hierarchy of controls methodology.
  • Technical resource for jurisdictional Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations and applicable standards.
  • Active participation in Framatome annual safety initiatives.
  • Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvements to the Framatome Health & Safety / Human Performance program.
  • Ensure workplace hazards are identified and effective mitigation strategies are developed and implemented.
  • Liaise with Government agencies and client representatives
  • Participate in client required networking groups and forums
  • Technical resource for Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations and applicable standard
