Responsibilities of this role
- Show strong commitment to achieving high safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture
- Provide technical safety support and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and HSE management and training systems
- Assist with the development, the review and improvement of health & safety management system and work procedures
- Ensuring corrective actions from inspections, audits and investigations are implemented
- Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies and initiatives
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly
Requirements for this role include:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry
- Cert IV Occupational Health & Safety or similar
- Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Standard 11 and G2 (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Queensland driver licence
