Responsibilities of this role

• Show strong commitment to achieving high safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture
• Provide technical safety support and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and HSE management and training systems
• Assist with the development, the review and improvement of health & safety management system and work procedures
• Ensuring corrective actions from inspections, audits and investigations are implemented
• Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies and initiatives
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly

Requirements for this role include:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry
• Cert IV Occupational Health & Safety or similar
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Standard 11 and G2 (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Queensland driver licence
