Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety and Compliance Manager to oversee and manage all safety and regulatory compliance functions for our Ontario-based flatbed trucking company. Operating cross-border into the USA, the Safety and Compliance Manager will ensure adherence to all Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations while fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and compliance management within the trucking industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of MTO/DOT regulations, CVOR, FMCSA, and safety standards. Familiarity with CTPAT, CSA, and other industry certifications is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in ELD systems and fleet management software.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and develop individuals within the department.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., NSC Compliance, CDS, or equivalent) is an asset.
