A fantastic ongoing, career opportunity with our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team
Reporting to the Head of Safety and Wellbeing Operations, the Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor is part of the team working to implement the VBA’s Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Strategy in partnership with divisions and business units across the organisation. In addition, this role will work with leaders and employees to improve the HSW culture at the VBA.
The HSW Advisor is responsible for:
- The development and implementation of the VBA wellbeing program.
- Driving change to HSW culture through coaching, mentoring and educating all employees and leaders.
- Overseeing the end-to-end management of the worker’s compensation claim process and return to work coordination.
- Development of wellness plans for employees with non-work-related injuries.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Sound working knowledge of HSW management systems, relevant legislation and applicable Australian and International standards.
- Demonstrated understanding of Injury Management legislation, Workcover claims management and development of Return-to-Work Plans.
- Proven ability to:
- identify opportunities for generating workplace innovation.
- promote a culture of psychological safety.
- Influence and coach stakeholders to drive change.
- develop and implement HSW programs.
