Responsibilities:

Join our team as a Safety and Compliance Manager within the Department of Infrastructure, Facilities Management Team!
You will be part of a supportive and enthusiastic team, responsible for managing the maintenance and refurbishment of a very diverse range of buildings across the Public Service property portfolio. Our properties vary from schools, hospitals, sports and entertainment facilities and many other unique and interesting sites across the Isle of Man.
You will contribute to the reduction of health and safety risks arising from work activities within the Facilities Management Section of Public Estates and Housing, in line with applicable Isle of Man Legislation and UK best practice requirements. Working as part of the management team, the primary responsibilities of the role are to compile risk assessments, safe systems of work, undertake investigations and instil an ethos of a proactive health and safety within a very diverse environment, as well as delivering training and conducting site visits to ensure compliance. The post holder will also ensure that continuous development targets are set and observed across the Section.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, well organised and a great communicator and can develop, manage and lead skilled teams working with people across the Public Service and outside contractors. Within the Department of Infrastructure, we work together as a team and take pride in delivering the very best infrastructure services to our community.
