Description:

The Safety Consultant will be responsible for assessing workplace safety practices, identifying potential hazards, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to promote a culture of safety within their organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Workplace Safety & Health Officer, Environmental Control Officer and Fire Safety Manager
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety consulting, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging training sessions.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive safety audits and risk assessments at client sites.
  • Identify safety hazards and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure client compliance with safety regulations.
  • Deliver safety training sessions and workshops to employees at various levels.
  • Assist clients in preparing for safety inspections and certifications (BizSAFE, ISO45001, etc).
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients to maintain and improve their safety programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on safety assessments and findings.
