THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Minimum of 2 years Health and Safety field experience.
- Knowledge of provincial Workplace Safety and Health Acts and related regulations.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, and excellence are key.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written with strong inter-personal skills.
- Reliable, well organized, motivated, and self- managed.

Responsibilities:
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of safety planning and coordination to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.
- Supporting the Manager of Safety as required.
- Consulting the workers and employers on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Acting as the first point of contact for the Safety Department as required.
- Supporting incident investigation and reporting.
- Maintaining safety records and statistics.
- Supporting the SAFE/COR safety certification including, internal audits and onsite inspections.
- Leading JOHSC meetings and initiating follow-up actions.
- Writing Safe Work Procedures, Safety Bulletins, and other safety communications.
- Developing and delivering internal training and coordinating external training requirements.
- Ensuring safety program requirements are current and initiating any follow-up actions as required.
