REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Holding certification and qualification for ASPP role
• Degree in the field of occupational safety (such as Environment and Workplace Prevention techniques) or engineering (by preference aerospace, mechanical or civil)
• Be a qualified occupational safety trainer (by preference, it is a plus)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the role of ASPP/RSPP in production/manufacturing environments (by preference in the aerospace field)
• Fluent (and grammatically correct ) speaking and writing in English and Italian (by preference for English C1 level)
• Excellent knowledge of Italian worker safety regulations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Be a well-organized, precise and detail-oriented person
• Clarity of presentation in writing and speaking
• Working in a team and contributing to a positive and stimulating environment

ABOUT THE ROLE

Selected candidate will become a member of the Lockheed Martin Global Inc F-35 team based in Italy. The position is for the role of Advisor for Safety Prevention and Protection (ASPP). The successful candidate will be the ASPP responsible for LMGI’s F35 Sites in Northern Italy, primarily Ghedi air base. This position will take direction from the Manager for Safety Prevention and Protection (RSPP) based at Cameri Air Base, Italy near Milan. The selected candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Italian worker safety regulations and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision. The ASPP will be specifically responsible to:

• Identify risk factors and the necessary prevention and protection measures;
• Prepare all documentation relating to Health and Safety in the Workplace and DVR
• Liaise with the competent doctor and workers’ safety representatives;
• Develop training programmes for workers;
• Monitor deadlines for preparation and compilation of documentation;
• Carry out inspections within the sites to assess compliance with the requirements of Legislative Decree 81/08 and to verify compliance with company procedures;
• Carry out safety checks on subcontractors and preparation of DUVRI.

The candidate will have the proven ability to manage and prioritize their time to effectively support multiple projects simultaneously. A proven ability to solve ambiguous problems and rapidly adjust to new requirements is a must.
The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Italian.
