Description:
JASARA PMC is seeking a dedicated Safety in Design Manager who will be responsible for integrating safety principles into design processes. This role is crucial for ensuring that safety considerations are incorporated from the earliest stages of project development, thereby minimizing risks and enhancing the safety of our construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop designs that prioritize safety while meeting architectural and functional requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the design process.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards in design and construction plans.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate safe practices into designs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Review and approve designs, making recommendations for safety improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to design and project teams on safety in design principles.
- Monitor and evaluate design outcomes to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Stay current on industry regulations and trends related to safety in design.
- Prepare reports and documentation on safety matters to communicate findings to stakeholders.
