Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management within the construction
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations, including those specific to Abu Dhabi, and international safety standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.).
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is essential.
- Proven experience in conducting site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of construction hazards and safety risks, including those related to heavy machinery, high-rise construction, electrical safety, and working at height.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the UAE’s labor laws and construction-specific health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety management systems, policies, and procedures across all construction projects.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards, including those specific to the UAE construction industry.
- Conduct thorough safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on all active construction sites to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and raise awareness of potential risks among site workers and supervisors.
- Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, conducting root cause analysis and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, including safety plans, records of inspections, incident reports, and safety training certificates.
- Provide safety training to workers, supervisors, and managers on construction-specific safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and equipment usage.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment on all job sites.
- Collaborate with senior management and project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on changes in local safety regulations, construction industry standards, and best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters, liaising with regulatory authorities, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare and present detailed safety reports and statistics to senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
