ICE Western started back in 1991 as a custom division of ICE Mfg Ltd. in Winnipeg MB, which has its roots tracing back to 1961. ICE Western’s purpose was to take on the production of highly complex HVAC units not suited for the production lines at the main plant in Winnipeg. Over the years sales have increased dramatically and now ICE Western has a state of the art industrial manufacturing facility located on 5 acres in South Foothills Industrial Park Calgary Alberta.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires an individual with:
- National Construction Safety officer designation is a must
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as NCSO is an asset
- Working level understanding if basic Health and Safety functions, hazard identification, incidents investigations and ergonomics.
- Through knowledge if AB provincial health and safety legislation, policies and practise
- Previous work experience in manufacturing environment and/or commercial industry is MUST.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, verbally and in writing.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Highly organized and time management skills
- COVID-19 knowledge and trained is an asset
- High degree of professionalism
- PC proficiency (including word, excel, power point and outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
- University degree or Post- secondary education in related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment in health & safety.
- Maintain/Monitor all systems to keep the plant in compliance with all Federal, Provincial, & Corporate Environmental regulations.
- Ensure accurate, and timely submissions of all WCB required documentation.
- Carry out claim reviews including follow up, including reports for WCB
- Help define Modified Work and Return to Work plans.
- Maintain our safety program.
- Prepare all documentation for an annual safety audit.
- Perform other duties as designated.

Responsibilities:
- Completing FLHA for the manufacturing areas
- Conducting and maintaining accident/injury forms as need
- Maintain/Monitor the health and safety systems to keep the plant in compliance with all Federal, Provincial, & Corporate Environmental regulations.
- Ensuring all required H & S documentation (health and safety, daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, hazard assessments) are delivered, organized and distributed the supervisors.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Health and Safety Manager to ensure the company is safety compliance.
- Assisting with update the health and safety program
- Maintain/Monitor the modified work program
- Prepare the safety documentation for the ACSA COR annual safety audit.
- Performing other duties as designated.
- Maintain/ Monitor the COIVD-19 procedures, law and restriction set by the Alberta health services and the Alberta Government.
- Delivering tool box meeting for the manufacturing area
Performing housekeeping duties( first aid station, eyewash areas)
