YOUR IMPACT:
Pearce is seeking a Safety Manager for Solar & EV operations. As the Safety Manager you will spearhead initiatives to promote and enhance safety standards within our Solar and EV divisions. You are responsible for overseeing our safety programs, managing our field safety specialists, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.
CORE EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with substantial experience in safety management, preferably within the renewable energy or electric vehicle sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and leading high-performing teams dedicated to safety and operational excellence.
- Proficient in managing safety metrics and compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
- Certification in safety-related fields or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., OSHA, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively deal with various stakeholders from field technicians to executive management.
- High cultural awareness with proven experience in managing diverse teams.
- Outstanding work ethic, trustworthy, and reliable – you will set the pace for your team.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions within fast paced changing priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Safety Specialists providing support across Solar and EV operations, ensuring alignment with Pearce’s high standards of safety and operational excellence.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety strategies that integrate seamlessly with Pearce’s overall business goals.
- Proactively manage safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.
- Champion continuous improvement by leveraging data-driven tools to coach and improve at-risk behaviors, particularly in injury/illness and safe driving situations.
- Act as a senior liaison for Pearce in all safety and compliance matters with external stakeholders, including external customers and regulatory bodies.
- Drive the cultural integration of safety and excellence in all operational practices and during the acquisition of new assets or companies.
- Facilitate robust communication and sharing of best practices across all divisions, enhancing our overall safety culture.
