- In-depth knowledge of workers compensation law and regulations
- Ability to fabricate or modify safety equipment as needed.
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles
- Certification in CPR, first aid, or other relevant emergency response training
- Familiarity with workers compensation claims management processes - Proficiency in OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis for accidents or incidents.
- Knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices
- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Understanding of EPA regulations related to hazardous materials

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans for our operations sites in the U.S. according to company guidelines.
- Maintain client relationships on Health & Safety initiatives at our Operations Sites. 30% Travel.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to policy and procedures.
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
