  • In-depth knowledge of workers compensation law and regulations
  • Ability to fabricate or modify safety equipment as needed.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles
  • Certification in CPR, first aid, or other relevant emergency response training
  • Familiarity with workers compensation claims management processes - Proficiency in OSHA regulations and requirements.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis for accidents or incidents.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety (EHS) practices
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
  • Understanding of EPA regulations related to hazardous materials

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute health and safety plans for our operations sites in the U.S. according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain client relationships on Health & Safety initiatives at our Operations Sites. 30% Travel.
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
