We are currently seeking to employ a highly motivated, and safety focused individual to support a culture of continuous improvement and high safety standards in the operation of HIA Apprentices. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the policies, procedures and practices within the HIA Apprentices business provide the safest practicable working environment for staff, hosts and apprentices.
Responsibilities:
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement and high safety standards in the operation of HIA Apprentices within HIA’s Group Apprentice Scheme (GAS)
- Maintains HIA’s Safety Standard for HIA Apprentices by:
- Monitoring and auditing safety incident reporting
- Providing safety reporting to management where required
- Evaluating the safety performance of the HIA Apprentices business and recommending changes to policies, procedures and practices that will improve the safety outcomes for apprentices, hosts and staff
- Managing monitoring tools to measure safety and compliance adherence by apprentices, their hosts and HIA staff
- Supporting appropriate reporting mechanisms for apprentice field officers against key performance indicators.
- Delivering and guiding effective safety induction and ongoing safety training to all HIA apprentices staff
