We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer/Coordinator to lead mine rescue operations and ensure the highest standards of safety for a prominent project in Saskatchewan. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven mine rescue leadership experience.
  • Certified in Mine Rescue and licensed with relevant safety credentials in Saskatchewan.
  • Current CPR/First Aid and additional safety certifications relevant to the mining industry.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a safety officer or coordinator role, ideally in mining or resource industries.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable team player, committed to fostering a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this onsite, full-time role, you’ll work directly with project personnel, fostering a culture of safety and readiness. Haztech will arrange travel from home to site and provide accommodations as needed, allowing you to focus on creating a secure environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Safety Officer/Coordinator with Haztech, you will:

  • Lead and participate in mine rescue activities, ensuring all safety protocols are met.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop response strategies for emergency situations.
  • Oversee daily safety operations, including inspections, drills, and training programs.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Record and communicate all safety and incident data to continuously improve safety practices.
